Irene Castaneda is a Partner of Everest Recruiting and COO of Cadence Talent Solutions, a Staffing
Management Group Company. She has a true passion for the Staffing Industry, People, and Professional
Development. Irene grew up and still resides in the Southwest Side of Chicago. She has built a career in
Staffing with a national reach and thrives on helping clients find the right talent and supporting career growth
for job seekers nationwide. Irene is no stranger to leading change and managing growing organizations.
She has held numerous roles in the Staffing industry with increased responsibility within Light Industrial and
Skilled Trades, Finance and Accounting, Construction, IT, Mergers & Acquisitions, Sales, Recruiting and
Operations. Having led teams of 5-25, she understands that people are the key to success in Business.
Irene participates in various civic engagement activities and is an avid traveler and classically trained
pianist.
Prior to entering the Staffing industry, Irene worked in Corporate Recruiting and Executive Succession
Planning at a top-ten Public Accounting Firm. She has also taught business communication and soft skills
at the College level and began her career as a writer in the WGN Television/Tribune Media newsroom.
Irene holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Illinois—Chicago and
a Certificate in Corporate Board Leadership from the University of Chicago Graham School. She holds a
CSP designation in Staffing and is active on various nationally based Staffing councils. Irene publishes a
bi-weekly newsletter entitled “The Leadership Corner” on LinkedIn, which focuses on staffing and people
leadership. She will be launching “The Hard Truth About Soft Skills,” a book that provides real-world
strategies on navigating corporate America.
